摘要：	Huayuan,located in the southeastern margin of the Yangtze block,is one of the Pb-Zn mining fields in the western Hunan Province,China.The Pb-Zn deposits is mainly hosted by Lower Cambrian carbonate rocks which occurs as wedge-shaped lenses thickening southeastward to a maximum of about 200m.They stretch beyond the mining field for about 100km to the Guizhou Province,China,along the NE trending Huayuan Baojing strike slip fault in the carbonate platform margin.Although the mining field has been studied for a long time in terms of isotope geochemistry and ore genesis,the source of sulfur remains controversial.
